Fair. Im 35 lol
The combat is so fun that it gets my approval. I do prefer a streets of rage type experience more than a dark souls experience though.
Yakuza is nice for example. Yakuza 0 has perfect boss fights imo. I just beat the lady in the snow at the museum. Cannot IMAGINE how TF anyone does that on higher difficulties. That second phase is....wild. She is so fast. Was literally killing me in like 5 seconds. I lost 6 years.
And as for the topic itself I like to chill in games but without the right amount of pressure it will get boring. I really wouldn't like to play a game on too easy modes and with Sifu I just don't like the dirty feeling it would leave me in if I would play on the lowest difficulty - this shouldn't be an insult to anyone who does, that's just a personal problem.
But coming from way of the Samurai games, I know how helpful lower difficulties can be, till you master the highest difficulty.
So for OP you do it how you prefer it, everyone is different.
Some people are neckbeards who would insult you in order to defend their game but don't let that get to you.
Everyone has different talents. Yours mustn't be gaming for example, play it for your reasons, the way you want it.
Hell I'm in my 40s and I wouldn't say I'm particularly worse than I was in my 20s. I've /never/ been very good at action games in general, This game is fun but there's no doubt that you need to have a certain level of skill -- one that no does NOT automatically come with just practicing -- to succeed in it, I had a lot more fun with the game when I turned on the boosters (which I'm still a bit confused on how it all works but that's a different topic)
But in general that word, 'practice' is what really annoys me. I'm not learning how to play an instrument here. I have tolerance for some level of repetition (hell just look at my most played games...) but having to, for lack of a better word, train myself just to progress in a game is somewhat antithical to why I play games.
im not the one getting mad ovver being bad at video games swearing on steam forums.
and im not ,,glutton for punishment,, because this game isn't punishing, (You want punishing games play old atari when you have no continue and 3 lifes.) on normal difficulty at least.
Well sorry i bother to spend time learning how to play rather than go around and complaining, maybe one day you will take a note from it and do the same.
and since you started pointing age im 30 and it litterally doesn't change anything
because its not how old you are but what your mindset it.
You admited you don't bother to get better you don't bother to learn you just want free win always without even trying. well sorry this aint this type of game bruh.
but then again if you admit you lack of skill stop being ofended for no reason if people calling you after it.
Gonna mess around with the Arena and modifiers.
Exactgly. ive already put 20 years into guitar and that was tedious and difficult. not doing that in my downtime with a game. I dont "train" in a game lol
and these people are acting like I just dislike any level of difficulty acting as if me beating lady in the snow on student wasnt a challenge lmao. That fight is insane.
youre just an edgelord. You want everyone to think youre some hardcore gamer lol.
Ive beaten demons souls and every dark souls game. I am not adverse to challenge. i am 35 and grew up on snes/sega. You are deluded and are certainly the initial aggressor here. Do you know how many times I've beaten Sonic 1 and 2? Not easy lol
You are way too aggressive and rude lol. You literally came in here to insult me and argue with me because I said Im enjoying the game. You are literally sad af
Also, youre clearly obsessed with souls style games and super hard games. Thats fine. im not at all. I cannoit stand ♥♥♥♥ where I have to replay the same boss fight 50 times to "master it". Thats not what im into at all. I prefer stuff like Morrowind. You are an ELITIST to the full extent of elitism in gaming. You have like 1000 hours in Ds 2 and 300 + in sifu lmao. Like duh, you are CLEARLY a die hard fanatic so im not surprised you come at me like an elitist d bag. I dont really play souls like games at all anymore or games like Sifu. Im enjoying it on the easier difficulty because I can actually progress and see the game/enjoy the encounters without having to replay the SAME FIGHT 650 TIMES
Yes I believe student difficulty makes the game better. yes. This is factual to me. I absolutely prefer the game on student. The game is still super hard. I died against lady in the snow 7 times lol. You are a glutton for punishment and I am not. I like to enjoy my game time not be extremely frustrated fighting the same fight 60 times
Its really not that easy though. I die often and had to fight lady in the snow like 8 times. Youre literally deluded by your own obsession over hard games.
skill issue
OP is right, the game difficulty IS better on student, but I would add, 'for most new players.' In my opinion, the Sifu's overall difficulty is a notch above most games that come out in modern day. The Student difficulty to me feels more like normal mode, Disciple feels like hard, and Master like extreme. Some people want a tough challenge - some do not. Sifu is a challenge, like it or not.
This game isn't a roguelike in the traditional sense, but it does require a Dark Souls-like approach - at least initially, for you to learn the patterns of enemies, anticipate their attacks, parry, and punish. It gets easier over time, but kind of after you get your ass kicked and learn how to avoid attacks and parry. Bosses are really hard after level 2, until you learn their patterns. Then they become manageable.
I also found the best way to play the game was non-traditional in the sense that instead of trying to complete the game in one straight shot, I ended up replaying levels multiples times. After a few runs on a level, I was able to know what to anticipate, got better, and advanced to the next one at a younger age. Again, this is not how most games are played, but for Sifu, it made sense for me. Heck, even on Student, I ended at the game at 63 years old.
It's tough - you guys could be nicer to newer people. If there is one thing I've seen in this community (here and on reddit) - lot of you are ******* ********. You can chose to be nicer to people.
