Edit: you might also next reply with "but it doesn't happen in other games". To which i'd answer with, those other games probably set the deadzone a little larger. Maybe theres a way you could manually do that? I think steam has options for increasing the deadzone on its controller setup.
It's caused by playing on secondary screen with controller. Something in board code causes cursor to drift towards main screen, rest of the game seems to be unaffected. Tested on two different Dualsense controllers that exhibit no drift in other games. Toggling steam input (with it's deadzone settings) has no effect, same for re-calibrating / re-centering dualsense. Only changing screens on which game is displayed causes / solves the issue. Very easy to verify as it happens almost instantly no need to restart game. I guess I'll look for place to report bugs but not sure if game is still supported.
