Is this a bug, or is it intended

I've been trying to finish at age 20, currently at Kuroki, before I die, I reset the checkpoint so I can keep at age 20, but the dark blade disappears, I've seen it spawn at the shrine before the boss, but it only happened once.

Instead of spawning directly in the player's hands when reloading a checkpoint, carried weapons typically spawn in very close proximity to the boss area — and I believe you're right, it's usually right next to the shrine. Maybe the blade broke during the fight, and the game remembered that?

Anyway, if you ever lose a weapon, you can enable High Contrast Display in the Display settings — that will highlight all interactable objects (including weapons) in yellow.

Maybe because I resetted in the 2nd phase, but it also disappears in the first phase, so probably not that. And it disappears even if it didn't break. I will try your suggestion in the morning.

Okay, just done some testing of my own, and I've actually encountered the same issues as you. Sometimes the weapon just didn't spawn at all, sometimes it did spawn but couldn't get picked up. I think it's genuinely bugged. This sucks.

Something weird just happened, same ♥♥♥♥ happened, but this time, the prompt appeared at the spawn place, and I picked up the blade, I guess it just becomes invisible or ends up hidden in the snow
