phase 2 he's sweep is never first hit so dogde first 2 hits (knife slash or two kicks) than just block.
By doing so, you will get your posture back and build up focus to deal decend damage,
Before anything else, of course, remember that you can practice bosses/enemies in training mode as long as you've beaten them at least once. Take as much time as you need training against Fajar before fighting the real deal.
For Phase 1, one method is, as Sophia said, to constantly bait out the long-range jump attack he does. It's a pretty consistent strategy, though he's not guaranteed to always do it, and the fight itself will be pretty long.
I personally opt to deflect most of his attacks, rather than avoid. The only thing that really needs to be avoided is his roundhouse/spin kick that he does at close range, as it's easy to punish. His hop kicks, and any of the option selects (inclding the sweeps) are better deflected, since they all share roughly the same timing, and pressing one button to deflect is far easier than pressing multiple to avoid.
Again, I would strongly advise to go into training mode, and pay close attention to two things:
- What he does after the hop kicks
- When he does the roundhouse/spin kick
You'll start seeing patterns soon enough. For Phase 2, there are a bunch of neat tricks:
