I-frames when on a downed enemy

Somtimes the big boys just ignore them and throw me anyway. I know it could be that I'm not fully in the animation yet or already at the end, but it sure feels like they do it when I'm in the middle of it and should be invincible. Is there an exception when they already started their move before I went down or something?

You mean when doing a ground beatdown? Yeah, you're only invulnerable against high attacks there, low attacks and grabs can still get you.
