Tips for museum boss both phases
I have trouble with this boss in both phases. I seem to get flustered with her whip in the first phase as it mixes high and low attacks and is one of a few instances where parrying up comes into play. In the second phase I parry to the side to avoid her sai tosses but I rarely catch them. When she "zooms" right at me I also parry to the side but don't seem to time it very well. I find this boss hard to punish on whiffing. I would appreciate any tips that helped you improve against her.

It takes while to learn which one is which but you'll get her eventually

For the first phase, try to bring the staff from previous area. That way, you can block without taking chip damage. If you're going barehanded, try to parry or dodge away her first couple moves and avoid the last 1-2 attacks, it will create an opening. You can also interrupt her attack by using charged backfist while she's still telegraphing, no need to fully charge.

For the second phase, try to use flowing claw to face her backward. When she run towards you, use crotch punch while facing her backward. You can stun her that way, always work. For the "zoom" attack, parry every time she shows a "white dash", it's her sign of attack. Sometimes she flaunt though, just be aware. Good luck my friend!

The first phase will certainly take the most practice. It can be pretty hard to see if her attacks are high or low in time.

A great ability for the second phase is the one that lets you catch thrown objects. It lets you grab her knives and throw them back at her to stun her for a moment.

I've noticed that when she's running up to you in the second phase, if you time it right, you can land a heavy and a light to stop her. Typically she tries it twice then goes back to throwing kunais, which as Doresh said you can catch and throw back.

Uinstalling the game. This boss is impossible. I can reach it with age 20ties, but I can't do ♥♥♥♥ during this fight.

The advice in this page is pretty sound, and if you have the parry shrine upgrades you can get through her first phase with the polearm weapon, negating all bladed damage. Honestly if you refuse to try, that's on you.

Thanks for your input (and everyone's). This post put it into perspective really well for me. Im trying to get my deaths under control and this and the fifth bosses are gonna take some time to understand i think. I can get through the first and second without a death but then it's down hill!

Noobs guide to easy victory - Required skills:
Step kick ability
Thigh cut focus ability
weapon catch ability
maximum focus
Maximum focus regain on dodge

Recommended extras:
Strong sweep focus ability (don't remember if you start with this or not)
As much weapon durability and as much weapon damage/effect on structure as possible by this mission (I forget exactly how many shrines you get by this point exactly)

Phase one bring a knife. Err on the side of dodging high. Basically thigh cut her, then hold Y to stab her with the "insta kill." This combo will ♥♥♥♥ her ♥♥♥♥ up, but doesn't instant kill her so you keep the knife. rinse repeat. Throw in some jabs here or there for extra damage, but stay away until she does the one combo that has her rapidly swinging her blade stick thing in rapid succession. It will take a bit to learn her tell for this move, but dodging her rapid flurry is essentially a matter of holding LB and jamming down on the stick as fast as possible. You do have to pause for the very last hit about .25 seconds or that one gets ya. Dodging this successfully instantly fills a focus gauge for, you guessed it, thigh cut+stab combo. Your blade will break before the end (at least it does on master) but you can still grind for focus and use the strong sweep to then ground pound her a bit, much as you had been comboing with the thigh cut and stab.

her phase two is probably the easiest boss session of the game. She'll usually start off right in your face, just dodge her combo and she'll end by flipping away and throwing a knife. Catch the knife she throws. From afar she will do one of two things: Run slowly toward you OR charge up her dash attack thing with a little "shwing" noise and lighting effect. If she runs at you, wait til she's about a foot or two away and use the step kick (toward, toward, y). You'll ♥♥♥♥ punt her good and she will then proceed to flip away and throw a knife at you, which you can easily catch. Rinse, repeat. Should she start her little swhingy charge thing, throw the knife at her. this will interrupt her and make her start running at you. See step 1. On rare occasions, after the ♥♥♥♥ punt, she may do her little up close combo. Very easy to dodge and always ends with the flip away knife throw, leading the cycle to repeat itself.

good luck.

They all have little tricks to cheese em a bit for what I call "noob wins." Essentially wins for master difficulty for the people who don't have the time or patience to reach that point where you can parry and dodge everything like a "pro" and kick their asses untouched. people like me, who like life the easy way.
