That being said, yes the story isn't super deep but it isn't like it is the worst story in the world... I have played much worse story games.
This.
OP play the game fully and then post again.
To me, the game encourages you to embrace a philosophy that sometimes, it is more beneficial to embrace the fact that life throws punches your way and that there is no valid way to deny or escape it. All of a sudden, you realise that there is indeed no spoon. "It's not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself". Suddenly instead of seeking to avoid every punch thrown your way, you start leaning into them, welcoming them, looking to meet them head on in truth. The truth being that you're a warrior, Harry... so stop running away and embrace your own true nature. Now that is living life to the fullest.
IMO, this is one of those games where the levelling up doesn't really happen in the game. It happens right here where you are now, inside your own brain while you play, where the only real boss battle ever really takes place, as you rise up to the opportunity to meet and welcome your own true self, first and foremost.
This, in and of itself, is Kung-Fu. Not just the game while you're sitting here pretending to kick and punch pixels on a screen, but I'm talking about the very nature of what it is that you've just experienced within yourself.
Be water, my friend.
Formless, shapeless, simply true.
