Damn This game is good.
I'm done with 2nd chapter and starting chapter 3.

This game feels really good man. As usual the story telling is top notch but what i really like is the game setting and story is more mature. The game doesn't shy away from death, i expect more fan-service too maybe later. This is really good because the market audience is getting older and appreciate more mature approach game while still within normal.

The game play mix between action and turn-based with some incentive is appreciated. But I'm afraid in the newer trails game they might go full action? lets hope not.

The character design is very good actually. Some NPC like Halle and Paullete is very beautiful. Hope I can enjoy more throughout the game.

Well... enough appreciating this game. Gonna play more. See U again after I finished the game.

Enjoy.

It's still Trails through and through, enjoyable as it is. Even with the terrible combat system and a bit forced plot.

Both the combat and the plot are fine, the earliest games were terrible in contrast. Cold steel was pretty good, but I much prefer this.

true, especially the quests during nighttime. Reminded me of the overall darker tone Sky 3rd had.

I personally like that they tried something new. It just isn't as polished yet as Cold Steel at the end. My main issues are the camera (sometimes) and the bland action combat. It doesn't have to be YS, but more than "3-hit combo", perfect dodge and a charge attack.
And yeah, the Genesis is like the ultimate plot device so far, I hope it wraps up nicely at the end

It doesn't have to be a combination of 3-hit combo, perfect dodge and a charge attack necessarily in this game. A tactic I often use is gathering as much enemies as possible, initiating battle and executing an S-craft. You ask me, feels pretty satisfying. I only do the attack combo + perfect dodge when I don't have full CP.

With usage of shards or combination thereof, like Fatal Lance, there were times you can just initiate a battle (without stunning anyone, hard difficulty) with weak enemies, use coin bullet to target them all, then Fatal Lance kicks in and all get killed. There's plenty of stuff you can do with the new system, just gotta know how to use them to match your playstyle, I'd say. Overall there's much more variety to what you can do than coldtrails. Also enemies get cleared off the map faster and it feels less like a hassle but an actual impact, you never run into one enemy and then it's 5 enemies of the same kind plus some others on top anymore.

Great game but there alot of issues with trophies and steam achievement that are hard to unlocked and not sure two playthrough is a must.

I am only part way into chapter one (just completed the wallet quest) and am deeply impressed. Even the camera work in cut-scenes goes a long way towards making me more immersed than when I was playing the cold steel games.

I agree. I find the story even in early chapter is very interesting compared older series. Things get serious pretty fast thus make us more invested more faster.

You're right about that. If you compare it with skytrails 1, things are extremely slow and nothing happens for most of the game. It's just tedious, and the tone of the game is completely different.
