I don't know why but i see lot of people here and on youtube say Calvard is America... while the majority of place/store has french name.

It really doesn't matter if it's based on America or France. What matters is that Calvard is a republic with race diversity and immigration as the main political topics.

Of course, Calvard is too ideal compared to both America and France.

I just thought of a noticeable difference between Calvard and France
The (true) Calvardians appear to be an actual ethnic group, whereas French people are a more of a political identity (Of Normans, original Franks, Germans in the East, Bretons, Occitans), tied to state of France. If Calvard were to be split into different countries, the Calvardian people wouldn't go anywhere. If France were split, the French people would start to wither away and revert to the traditional cultures.
