FPS drops

Sometimes during combat screen goes black for a second and after that game is locked to 30 fps until I restart my PC, meanwhile it's buttery smooth 60 fps anytime besides that. Any idea how to fix it? It didn't happed before chapter 3. Tested other games after this and they run as intended so the problem isnt in my system or hardware.

Check what your monitor refresh rate is set in the advanced display options on your PC and compare that to what you have in the settings in game. A discrepency may cause an issue.

Also this sometimes happens when the GPU overheats and it has to throttle itself in order to protect it so check your GPU temp while you're playing.

I also had FPS drop and lock at 30FPS until restarting the computer. I'm nearly finished with the game, and it only happened once while playing. It occurred outside of combat when scenes where changing. May have been the result of fast forwarding, but don't know for sure. I live in a relatively warm climate, so it's possible it was GPU throttling. Though, it did only happen once...

A bigger problem was a handful of complete BSOD crashes that I experience while playing.

I've checked monitor settings when fps lock happened and they were the same. GPU temp is normal during gameplay, 50-60C (4060ti) and overall temps of other hardware too. It has to be some software issue precisely with Trails through Daybreak, because after FPS lock happened I've checked other games without restarting my PC and they were running fine in 60 fps, but when I quit kuro and launch it again it's locked to 30 fps even in main menu, like literally in-game lock - for reference, I've checked all in-game settings and fps wasn't locked to 30 there. Only full pc restart helps.

I would try disabling as many software and apps as you can before doing a cold start. Try the game again and if that fixes the issue, then one of the things you disabled is likely causing some sort of conflict with the game.
