How do you find hidden missions in this game?
In the older installments, finding hidden missions was pretty simple (though easier said than done): talk to everyone, everywhere, every 5 minutes. Usually they got you through sheer boredom.

This time though, the game specifically tells me there are hidden missions at my current point in time, but doesn't give me the slightest detail, and I'm not quite sure talking to everyone is the way to go (I found some neat storylines though), but SURELY that one super-obvious, super-in-your-stupid-face green x-marks-the-spot warning sign marker on the map is not what they call a HIDDEN mission? Because if you know a passable amount of English vocabulary like I do, you know that's not what the word "hidden" means.

So, any insights, dear friends and fellow fans?

Blue and green markers on the map.

Disappointing use of the word "hidden" but it's reassuring to know I'm unlikely to miss TOO much stuff.

They're not even called hidden anymore, now they are just optional quests. Green and Blue marks shows in the map, but sometimes you'll need to talk twice, or guet another quest before talking to the blue dot.

The game itself used the word "hidden" this time and I swear I wasn't on weird stuff or half asleep. It's what prompted me to come here and ask this question.

Yeah. Kind of sucks that they have done away with hidden missions. It's even worse for any mission that involves a riddle of any sort. Just turns everything into a basic fetch quest - just follow the markers, no need to engage brain. I get some people want the reward without having to put in any effort, but it would be nice if they could have included a no marker option for those of us who would like to actually work things out ourselves.

They're hidden because they're not on bulletin boards and easily missable. I missed 1 quests out of the 64 (or so) sides quests even though I talked to everyone so it's not a walk in a park.

Good and better that they are this way. Quests actually have substance now and engage in interesting themes and involve far less yapping than before, previously finding quests was a complete hassle even if you have a side quest list open because you'd constantly forget and miss them since they're just a bore. They also involve a lot more thought now if you're into that than before because you have to use your brain to make correct choices during quest which require that such as the racing ones. Previous Trails games quests were just forgettable even in coldtrails.

I get the feeling you are just trolling. Are you seriously trying to argue that Bleublanc riddles (or equivalents) involve more thinking when you can just follow quest markers on the map than when you had to actually work out the riddles for yourself?

I'm seriously telling you that those things are a complete bore and a waste of time that I don't want to be bothered with, and I'm not the only one that thinks that way.
My mental capacity is best spent elsewhere and I'm glad that Falcom started to think the same way.

I have plenty, and it looks like you learned how to parrot, nice. Doesn't ring true, but at least it's noticeable that you're trying.
Just don't think about the fact that above was written a serious post, to which you could only respond with inability to take it seriously, and you'll be fine. Works for me too, since I don't have to take this seriously if you can't.

Wait, the one above it was actually meant to be serious? I discounted it because it made no attempt whatsoever to defend your position.

If you are trying to actually make a serious point then you have a lot of work to do.
