Don't buy it, its not localized its wokalized.
Just don't buy it, its released several years after release for ZERO reason other then them hating western players. If you want to play it just get japanese version and apply fan translation that is well made and actually proper translation not that woke disaster. Have fun waiting for another game for next 4 years even tho it was already released several years ago.

Boycotted due to identity politics.

Which are also in the Japanese script so you have to boycott FALCOM from now on.
I am sure they are devastated.
:steamfacepalm:
Yeah, the delusion on display here is pretty funny. So desperate to shift blame to anyone but Falcom for their perceived "woke" elements.
As was just discussed in another thread, those people act like the older games were perfect in their translations.
Even though XSEED was a 100 times worse then NISA.
They changed the personality of entire characters in the English adaption.
Estelle from the Sky games is a nearly complete different character in English and Japanese in how she talks and how her personality is displayed.
Or the "funny" jokes XSEED added where you can talk to empty chests for some meme.
NISA would be crucified on these forums if they did something similar.
Those people never cared about translations/localization, just now when its trendy to hate on anything perceived "woke" or "forcing a agenda", NOW its the worst thing ever when NISA uses a different word then the original script.

You can dislike translation choices, thats not the problem. I still think "Beauties Blade" is a dumb localization for Elaines nickname "The Sword Maiden".
But there is a difference between not liking some translation choices and going on a online crusade.

That is basically my stance as well. People are very bad at staying consistent in there believes. Which is why I have at some respect for Zekkn. We don't see always Eye to eye with our believes. But I highly respect him for being completely consistent with his believes. Meanwhile the people that our most of this thread right now seem to hate everything NISA does because it is NISA. Even if they localize something correctly(or very close) they still find a way to complain about it. But here is the thing it only seems to happen when ever it is something they them selves don't agree with. And that makes it really hypocritical.

It's the same, small collection of folks for nearly every one of these games who goes on this crusade too. Yeah, there's been a few things that catch my eye over the years too like the Beauty's Blade which just sounds silly, but the obsession with criticizing every last detail feels excessive. At times, they even acknowledge this has always been an issue, but lo and behold here we are years later and it's business usual which means Xseed/Nisa don't really care and it makes no significant impact on sales.

People can spend their free time how they want I guess, but it's all so pointless and many of the examples cherry picked to get outraged over are fairly meaningless. All I know from perusing some of the threads is that the overwhelming majority of those criticizing are overly hostile towards those who don't share their opinion including calling those who are just sitting back and enjoying the games "not real fans" or at the very least conveying that general attitude. That doesn't sound like a productive group to be associated with.

I was called a "nisa defender" even though I stated that I don't like "Beautys Blade" either, just because I didn't called that "censorship". I don't know, is that already censorship, Claire for example still has her "Maiden" title. Altering outfits or removing content is what I would call censorship. And yeah changing dialogue can be censorship as well, I know, they did that with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 or Tokyo Mirage Sessions. But idk, I think in this case here it's mostly nitpicking since the fan translation isn't perfect either.

Can't we just play the version we personally prefer and if someone doesn't like any of the available translations, how about playing in japanese or making a translation yourself instead of whining?

More typical anti woke whiners being the biggest cry babies on the internet. Love the irony xD
I mean, It's not wrong to want better out of these strange fellows trying to inject personal belief into translations, which just come out as weird and cringey. Most of it just seems to be strange dialect, and this game specifically handling a certain character poorly, but that's on Nisa.
You "anti-wokes" are so fragile it's hilarious

It is true the standards of these localizations are not great.

But good or bad, the terminally angry types don't seem to comprehend that this form of localization is the norm. Ask them to name games translated in a style they actually like.
Thanks for all the jester awards, will invest into some "woke" wallpaper i buy in your name.

I love these idiots, "i really hate what you wrote, here i give you free points as punishment!"
But we already established that the anti woke crowd are not the brightest stars in the night sky.

Interesting to note that the OP was banned. Hmmm. Guess he'll whine about it elsewhere.
