A solution to the sealed deck issue
So a lot of people take issue with how sealed play works in dotp 2014

Its sealed play so the "you get what you get" mentality is spot on.
Having a start/over reset option would, as many have stated, result in players randomizing until they get an awesome pool.

However the inability to restart in any way shape or form is limiting and kills replayability in an otherwise fun format.

The solution is simple i think:
Upon beating the sealed campign, allow the player to reset.

This prevents players from spamming "restart" for a great pool, but allows players to reenjoy the experience.

Its a simple solution that i feel would work.
Thoughts?

I would love to see this implemented along with possible smaller 5 card boosters to earn for that deck slot based on a set number of multiplayer wins in a hierarchical fashion. Example First win gets you a 5 card pack, so does 10, than 25, 50, 100 etc. I feel this would encourage Sealed deck Multiplayer mode as well as improving not only your sealed deck, but strategies.

I like it like that , we had 18 boosters and this is enough , if you want more you can pay 2 bocks and i think i would cause the game worth it and is a lot cheaper than physical cards.
Sometimes when i'm in the city i go to my dealer and for ten bucks what do i got ? 3 Boosters ...
The sealed deck must stay limited but ok maybe we can have one reboot after beating the compign that should be fair.

I suggest it to be like "Free to play" style where by playing sealed mode to gain a in game currency or points (eg, battle/magic points) so you can use it for reset or unlock slots.

I like the points system, provided that people cant buy points.

I dont get it. Just play with a small deck and you can trash seal campaign easy, and most multiplayer games. Even rubbish booster packs are guarenteed to get a pile of rares.

Grinding campaign or resets will have people just doing the campain (which takes an hour) and resetting away.

At least sealed play is fun multiplayer, as nobody knows what they of deck the other person has. If you could reset and have super perfect decks, then it is pointless playing sealed, better off playing normal multiplayer.

Some people will do the campaign and reset. other people will keep the pool and repeatedly using it. I'd keep one of the pools and reset the other one since, in my opinion, the fun part about sealed is making the decks and seeing how they work. I really dont want to have the same pool forever.

I don't think they'll change it. But they might for dotp 2015.

They might. If they drop it, it will be a shame since it is a good mode and you have no idea what deck your opponents have in multiplayer.

It seems that people want super perfect decks to trash those who do not.
I like that idea.

Here's one that I like:
After so many games you get points, use points to buy boosters. With a maximum amount of boosters available so that you could, if you wanted, build solid colors with most of the decks (Over 75%).

You can also save the points to reroll the slot, if you so choose.

I like this idea because it's not a premade and if you play as much as I do.. you know what to expect out of premades "Oh, he's got the zombie deck, eldriza (?), angels, slivers,..."

Unlike the 2013's planewalk mode, which quite frankly I avoided most times, the sealed decks gives the game a more true to life outlook about the game. It's definitely cheaper than paper as I've bought my fair share of shoe boxes full of a single color.

We probably wont be having Sealed in 2015. They have always removed the previous "extra" game format and added a new one. If they continue the trend they'll probably do the same again. Maybe it'll be commander next(though I'll doubt it).

i think this would be also to strong like a restart option.

in my opinion this mode would be perfeckt with a trade option
so you could even with not soo god booster build decent decks by trading the cardas you dont need for it for others you need

Sealed = no trading. Deal with what you're given. My sealed deck has six uncommons in it and one rare. Everything else is common because that was what I was dealt (I still haven't used my second slot, there is no need for more than that).

Allowing any form of unpunished reset is unacceptable reguardless of the difficulty people will re-roll until they get what they deem a better than average pool. Every reset should remove a bonus booster so that you REALLY need to think about whether or not you should reset.

BUT you can REBUILD any deck, anytime for each original pool!
PLUS-all Land cards are free! ANy amount, any combo!

Xbox 360 version of the game is better than PC version in terms of Sealed Play. You can just create a new account and you'll get a new pool for that account. Can't go Multiplayer with those new accounts unless you get Gold, but that isn't a huge problem for me since the deck building and pack opening is where I get most of my enjoyment from.

Don't know how this works for PS3 version of the game since I don't own a PS3.

Glad I bought it on the 360. Was originally going to get it for PC but then I remembered they offered a free deck key if you own the previous version, so I changed my mind last minute.
