Knocking noises and other sounds

Anyone else hear these random sounds? I thought at first it was just something happening in the game to represent an event because it happened on University (a pop sound was heard), but hten i heard a knocking sound in the hospital but there is no door for anyone to knock on and no intruder and no one knocked on my door lol

I wasn't aware this game added ambient noises like in the first one, where you'd hear "Hello?" and stuff
Is it a feature, or a bug with my headphones?
