Dwarfs F2P not even starting.

Hi, I've downloaded Dwarfs F2P and its not starting at all. I click play and nothing at all happens.
I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 and Closure works just fine so im not sure what could be wrong.

No idea. I'm completely new to Steam in general so I don't even know how to go about trying to fix it.

Most of the time this is an issue with not having mono and mono game working on your system.

Hmm...I had to look that up.
So I just have to get this and it might help?
I'm not sure I understand how to install it. I have to get MonoDevelop 3.0 and then download Mono Game 3.0.1?
What then? Does it work in the background?

i have dwarfs!? and not dwarfs f2p but what i did is i went to the game folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dwarfs
and then i right clicked Dwarfs.exe and clicked run as administrator if you do not run it as administrator it will say Steam initialization failed! Please start the game through the Steam Client
