dwarfs and lava

i know i can solidify stone into rock and stop it, and walls will slow it down, but what if it gets out to beyond slowing speed and it takes too many tnt to stop it completely? what are my options? the lava flows for a long time until my home base and im screwed.

I tried surrounding my base center with holes made with dynamite and that worked... until the grassy area started getting bigger. It removed the holes and suddenly my base was full of lava

At that point you've basically lost, your best bet is to just start a new game without wasting time.

it's best to make sure you keep tract of your diggers, otherwise you'll have like 3 dark caves being explored at once and kinda hard to tell which one is the one that was found with lava, water, or enemies
