Port save game from gamecube?
Anyone know if this is possible?

If so, how can this be done? I REALLY don't want to spend the time getting another three Chaos Chao...

Well Looks like you are going to have to start over. Unless you know about hacking the system.

The amount of time it would take to learn is undoubtedly less than gaining three more Chaos Chao! Got any links to sites with 'how to manuals'?

There is no "how to" for something like this, sadly. I have experience with Gamecube hacking. I quickly took a look at the save file format on Gamecube vs. this PC port. They appear to be very similar in structure.

However, if your save file is on a Gamecube memory card, you'll have to jump through a few hoops to get that file on your PC. If you have experience with Wii homebrew, you can find an app that will dump it for you. If you manage to do that, send me the file and I'll convert it to PC format for you.

I remember an app floating around online for dumping chao data directly from a .raw save format (which you get from dumping your memory card..or if you just use Dolphin)

This game is a port of the gamecube version. So the save files are nearly identicle. I wouldn't be suprised if you just plopped it in there and it worked.

Can you convert it the other way around? from PC to gamecube?

Well... I just dumped my GC SA2B to my PC. What do I have to do in order to make the PC game read the save files?? I'd love to learn how you did it. If it takes too much time from you, could you at least port my savefiles?? :3

TY in advance

Frankly, it'd probably be easier to just use Fusion's Chao Editor, and just precisely re-create the Chao, in your PC game.

It allows you to alter everything from its type/color, its stats, what skills it's learned, what it thinks of each of the Sonic cast, its personality, its favorite fruit, what animal parts it has, and even both its age and how many times it's been reborn.

i looked at both saves and the saves look similar but the header code is just different, maybe skilled hex editing can do it

Instead of your save you could port your Chao directly. http://chao.hippotank.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=46667
