Chao races, Stuck at the trees?

Ok, so i have played this game for hundreds of hours on the gamecube and loved every minute of it. SO when i got it on the pc i couldnt wait to raise my chao again. Right now im doing the races and everytime my chao makes it to the part where you have to shake the fruit down and eat it, it glitches.

He runs up to the tree and shakes it, but the fruit never falls? Out of cuiosity i let it sit and after 5 minutes the fruit still has not fallen. Is there a glitch somewhere or a file i have to alter or what? Thanks for any help, the garnet race is currently impossable for me to do.

It's a glitch, it's all it is. I got through it after a few tries but I don't know if there's a fix of some kind for it.

Ok, so just keep trying and hope it doesnt happen again? I tried it 3 times and each time i got stuck while the computers had no problem doing it. Ill try it again a few more times later tonight (after work) and ill report if i got it working.

Ok, i know im late to update but i did get it working . Glitched about 6 more time before it worked. Sat down and did most events that involved the trees so if they glitch again i dont have to worry about it.
Sadly i dont have any advice to get it working besides, quit and try again

Alright, I'm trying this. Also, if you're using the Chao Editor, make sure you don't put your fly stat up to maximim, otherwise races that have ANY flying will be impossile. Try 4000 points. Also, don't set your intelligence stst too high, either.

Happened to me when i put my chao's stats all up to 9999, if its higher than the ingame max then it will cause your chaos to freeze at certain sections of the race (such as the trees part), i dont remember what the actual in game max is for stats tho.

If anyone is using Chao editor, I found 2000 is a good setting for strength so they can pass the tree and for flying so they don't accidentally fly over the goal line. Swim, run, and stamina are at 9999. I have my luck and intelligence at 0 and my Chao doesn't seem to have problem with jack in the boxes. He usually gets the matching wrong but he's so ahead at that point that it doesn't even matter

sorry to necopost a years old dead thread but the fix that worked for me was changing all stats to 80
