Curious as to which one's you'd name. I personally can only come up with a handful. And one of the ones I liked everyone universally hated (jokingly labled Stairfax Temperatures; you should know what it is from that).
Was still using my Dreamcast and N64 a lot while I had the gamecube.
Custom Robo (for the combat alone, really could have used voice actors.)
SSBM obviously.
Tales of Symphonia
I actually liked the two starfox games on GC, had a Lot of funny playing StarFox Assult with my friend.
Twilight Princess
I supose I cant count PSO since it wasnt an exculive huh?
i guess metroid prime was totally awesome, i never beat the first dungeon lol. after the tutorial.
I'd list a few mor but it's been forever since I played gamecube since its at my moms house and im stuck on the other side of the country.
Some of those I haven't heard of before. Not even sure what you mean by PSO lol.
I've never played a Tales game yet.
I've always wanted to play StarFox Assault and never did.
I dont usually even think about Twilight Princess being on the gamecube because I played the Wii version
I never enjoyed a Metroid game. Ever.
Would have thought Wind Waker would have been in there somewhere.
combat was good but for some reason everytime i foguht ganon at the end i did worse and worse.
and I shall clarify that i copied my friends completed file. it took so long to enter the second dungeon byu the time i did I was too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ angry to keep playing.
EDIT: Sorry, I forgot we were talking about GameCube, not Nintendo 64. I really liked Beyond Good And Evil. It wasn't a GameCube-exclusive but it seemed to fit the console perfectly. Animal Crossing was ... sorta fun.
I have to disagree on that. I loved Windwaker, and that is considering that I played it fully expecting to hate it because of what I thought to be a "childish" graphics style. After playing it for a while I got used to the visuals, and as I continued to play it I even started to prefer them (not as a style for general Legend of Zelda games, but specifically Windwaker). After playing it through I can't imagine a graphics style that would have worked better. Of course, your issue sounds like it was with the story, but I had to mention the graphics as they were my biggest complaint prior to playing it.
As far as the story goes, I will say that I prefer the story of "A Link to the Past" and "Ocarina of Time", but I didn't think Windwaker's story was terrible, and certainly not bad enough to significantly impact the overall feel of the game in a negative way. To me, for LOZ games in particular, a well written story is nice but always takes a backseat to great game mechanics, dungeoun layout, and good/logical puzzles (not to mention exciting boss fights), and I think it did many of these things as well as, and in some cases better than some of the other titles in the series. It also brings back good memories, so I guess it is important to note that my opinion of the game could be partially obscured by nostalgia. Nevertheless, it is still one of my favorites.
my complaint was not the Art style. that was cool, part of the issue people had partially at least was the teaser they got before hand looked like an upgraded ocarina, not cell shading.
but no I do like cell shading.
my BIG issue is they drown hyrule. i mean i could live with that if it was temporary but no, they're told to leave and never look back and find a new land to call home. -.-
that ticked me off.
but combat was good it's a shame the "use the enemie's weapon" was only ever in wind waker i loved that.
but jumping into the tornado and making into the second dungeon was such a horrible pain in my ass.
Same thing with that plumber. What's the deal with those two?
