Black Screen after SEGA Logo
Hello,

As per usual with SEGA PC titles I am having issues getting this one to start, all that happens is it opens the config in which I have tried my native resolution and even the lowest and start the game. it shows "Sonic Team" logo then "SEGA" logo then locks up.

Not quite sure what is happening :/

My drivers are up to date as is my DirectX and I meet and exceed the minimum requirements of the game. any tips on what could be going wrong?

Things tried:

* Verified Integraity of Game Files
* Tried Various Compatibility Settings
* Manually Installed the DirectX included with the game
* Reinstalling the game
* Rebooting

Minimum requirement:
OS:Windows XP/Vista/Win7
Processor:Pentium 4 @ 3.2 GHz/Athlon 64 3000+ or Equivalent & above
Memory:1 GB RAM
Graphics:256 MB (NVIDIA GeForce 8600/AT Radeon HD3650) & above
DirectX®:9.0c
Hard Drive:3 GB HD space
Sound:DirectX Compatible

My System:
OS:Windows 7 Home Premium x64
Processor: Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz
Memory:4 GB RAM
Graphics:512 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GS
Hard Drive:500 GB HD space - 224GB Free
Sound: Conextant HD2

Thanks in advance

I got it to run try in Windowed that works mostly but sometimes it will crash before main menu and mentions a Nvidia Driver DLL as the cause

An Nvidia Driver crash, eh? Have you tried downloading & installing the latest (and theoretically greatest) NVidia driver?

thanks
It only works in windowed mode with the latest nvidia driver. It's a shame, i think I will wait for a fix.

I think I found the problem. It is caused by the Nvidia adaptative vsync. I simply set vsync settings in nvidia control panel, to use the application 3D configuration and now I can play in full screen mode.

Hey, I had the very same problem. I'm on Windows 10 with an Nvidia driver, I just ran the game with my "integrated graphism card" (not sure that's how it is, that's the english for "graphismes intégrés", anyway it's pretty basic so you should find out). I can run the game with the sonic2app (not trough the launcher), using my native screen resolutions (1366X768) no problem. I went trough a bunch of topic before, tried to tweak some things like the userconfig.cfg and keyboard.cfg with no success. So now it works just by changing this, and I don't think compatibility is an issue. I think this is Nvidia screwing up somewhere personnally. Hope this helped, because I was pretty angry and frustrated before I found out the solution.
