item trapped in the door in chao world

I bought a round tree seed and now said seed is trapped in the door. is there a way to get it back out?

If you threw it near the exit "door" there is no way to get it back without leaving the opening and walking back in. It will be in a completely different place though.

You should try to just walk close and grab it, it always work believe me

I've done this dozens of time and it never budges from being stuck

every single time I try and do this my character just exits the chao garden.
