Can't launch the game...

Hey everyone. I got this game today, installed it, double-clicked, configured my launcher, andddd nothing happened once I hit 'start game'. I tried going into /steamapps/ and launching sonic2app directly, but it doesn't work - no error message, no process even. I'm not sure what's wrong.

I'm using Windows 8, Core i7 processor, and I have one of those graphics cards that switches from integrated graphics to nVidia.

Try re-installing.

Same issue. Already tried reinstalling and verifying cache. When I try to launch from folder it says d3dx9_42.dll is missing.

Figured it out. You need to run the DXSETUP in the following folder:
.....\SteamApps\common\Sonic Adventure 2\redist\Directx

try installing this http://www.nvidia.es/object/physx-9.12.1031-legacy-driver-es.html and then mark enable analytics in the statistics tab when you open the game

This is a hugeeee help, go ask AI. Seriously look up copilot AI, then tell it your downloading a game from steam, sonic adventure 2, what it's doing and how to fix it, it will give you step by step instructions on how to fix it, it was happening to mine and it works now.

click the setting in the sonic game and click browe files then click redist and find DXSETUP and click it
