The game is totally worth it, if you are looking to play a sublime action platformer of the old.
The Rest of it was Part of the greatest Sonic game of its time, If you compare ANY Sonic Game to the Other games of their time ( Sonic Colors to, for example, AC3, Bioshock Series, etc based on Graphics, Re-Play-Value, Level Design, and SoundTrack, You Will Notice Sonic Adventure 2 Stood Out MUCH Further ahead than any game from its time, compared to, Say, Sonic Colors and its Competition
I mean, Have You seen any Dreamcast games, or Games from its release time that even made it to Steam and/or still aren't completely in the dust? ( I know SA2 isn't popular anymore, but at least the Sega Community ( those who've been around ) Still have good memories of it;
Much Better memories than CoD fans have of their franchise's previous versions,
Overall I'd say It Outlasted Most Dreamcast/2001/GC games, ( not all ) & Remains my Favorite Sonic Game to Date,
The Chao Garden gave Great replay value & just kind of something for casual players to mess around with, and the upgrades are kinda nice touch,
I'll admit that I'd personally would love to see a SA3 of somekind. Sonic with some of the more modern upgrades/graphics would be amazing conbined with SA2's replay value.
Sorry if this sounds like a review XD and sorry for grammar/spelling errors, I tend to post big ;)
Edit:
If You Know how "innovative" non-indie first person shooters such as CoD, are now, or at least the popular ones, you know what i mean,Not saying at all that all first-person shooters are bad now, But enough to get its share of complaints/references
You also get a laugh when you replay the easier tourneys and watch your chao 1-hit-KO the competition with a Spinning Ninja Roundhouse and knocks them out of arena XD
and if we are counting spin-off games then Knuckles CHaotix would also be in this list...
for the record though.... I consider 06 to be better then SOnic Laberinth simply because Laberinth is a puzzle game with sonic's face slapped onto it to make it sell more and not an actual Sonic game! -.-"
now I want to play SA2 but my laptop dosnt have it installed T.T
