Big The Cat?

I Was replaying this game recently for nostalgia and just defeated Big Boom Boo. After he went down it briefly showed Big the cat standing in a doorway. I know I haven't replayed this game in a while but i absolutely don't remember that. Anyone know how I may have triggered this?

The Dreamcast version has a Big cameo in (every?) or most stages.

The Gamecube version removed all of those, so thats probably why you've never seen him before.

But both versions have a secret Big that can show up in cutscenes if you mash the A button during very specific scenes. And the HD ports (like this one), brought back the in-stage cameos too.

It’s an Easter egg and he’s actually in most stages in the HD version. I think GameCube he’s just replaced by a ring. If you’ve played SADX you’ll know why he was removed from SA2 as a playable character. Trying to get that A rank in fishing was horrible but I did it in SADX…
