I still didn't saw the movie, but I know that they replaced Rouge with alive Gerald in Team Dark. SA2 adaptation without Rouge - automatically can't be peak
Lack of Amy on the other hand is fine. Chris did her job at convincing Shadow perfectly fine in Sonic X, and it actually made more sense because both Maria and Chris were humans - therefore it's understandable why Shadow associated Chris with Maria. But I still don't know how that part was made in the movie... Is Tom gonna do it instead of Amy and Chris..?

I dont know hoe to answer your second point without spoiling anything but imma definitely say a nitpick of mine is that they absolutely could have gotten away with the popular fantheory “rockwell is rouge in disguise,” even if the appearance changing device was tails’ tech, even if it was just a post credits phone call a la revolver ocelot in metal gear solid. ,

I knew that there will be no Rouge and Amy in 3rd film for ~2 months at this point. Because there was a leak of unfinished film's frames and they weren't there. But I ain't trying to spoil everything on purpose, so I'm hopefully just gonna watch it in a couple of days.
As for why the film lacks these characters - most likely just because animating 4 CGI characters is cheaper and easier than animating 6 CGI characters (aside from all other CGI effects).
Also sorry for the lack of spoiler covering, I just don't know how to do it

Thanks for the help! I've never clicked on this button because I thought it just does something with fonts... And yeah, I checked what you wrote in a spoiler - I don't think a post-credit scene counts for it. It's basically the same to say that "Tails was in movie 1" or "Shadow was in movie 2". Technically - sure. Factually - not really.

They probably won't add Rouge the the movies I think because of her being kinda sexualized and not a core character like sonic, tails, knuckles, amy

Really interesting twist on the SA2 story.

Cause its definitely the SA2 story (and they nailed everything they had to), but also with many things tweaked or changed around. So if you know the game, then you don't actually know everything the movie does.

And the thing that proves you it's still SA2 story - is the Pivonka™ 2 with Gerald and Eggman, and the part where Gerald flies into ARK's collider on his fart. Definitely the best inclusion of this movie-universe so far!
