Can anyone give me tips or advice for this game?
I have wanted to buy this for a while(but I’m scared of the gameplay), and I wanted to know this: What tips do you have for this game?

I was just scrolling and saw your discussion appear!:steamhappy:

well, sonic stages let you do pretty fun things like spamming the spin dash button to keep your speed. For sonic boss fights: It relies on your skill, speed, and timing. Just spam the spindash button like you’re getting away with commiting several war crimes, and do not EVEN DARE to look away from the screen for a second (I regret being caught off guard.). Tails is just a “gun spam sim”. Just move toward your enemies and spam the shoot button to make quick work of them. For knuckles: you have to look for one shard at a time. I’m pretty sure when I played mad space: if you have collected a shard, and restart: you keep the shard, and the shard places reset. It worked well for me. And one more tip (for the final boss of the hero story) for sonic: Shadows fight relies on timing. But you also have limited time to take down shadow before the track comes to an end. So you can ring dash through him after he teleports, which damages him, and just try whatever works.

Those are decent tips to beating the game, but not very useful tips for fully mastering it and getting all A ranks.

For Tails and Eggman levels, you don't want to constantly spam the shoot button - the key to high scores is to chain multiple enemies at once by holding down the shoot button to lock on. Wait too long and you'll lose your lock-on. Up to 2,000 points can be scored at once by locking onto 11 enemies at a time, so once you target 11 enemies, fire away.

For Knuckles and Rouge, it's all about memorisation. No, really. Know the levels off by heart, then replay them multiple times to get a feel for each and every area of the map. Emeralds generally only show up in a single area and each map is usually divided up into 3 areas. If you found an emerald in an area, the rest will more often than not be in the other two areas instead. The faster you find the emeralds, the better your bonus. Using hints lowers your bonus, but you can still get an A rank by using a few of them.

Death at any point in the level will reset your score to zero, so you pretty much need to achieve a perfect run in every level if you want to A rank them.

Tricks, and know what gives you points.

For Sonic/Shadow its ramps, and enemy chains.

For Tails/Eggman its holding the lock on and getting as many enemies destroyed in one lock-on (before it wears off)>

For Knuckles/Rouge, its speed between each emerald piece. Which you wont do well at until you learn how to navigate each stage.

Also "Gold" Beetles, which and yellow drones that fly in the air and quickly disappear once they see you. Theres one in each stage. They arent required, but they can really help.

(ranks are strict. So its more about not being discouraged while youre still learning)
