Believe it or not, the level distribution between characters is about even at around 33% for each play style.

Sonic has 6 levels, Shadow has 4.
Tails has 4 levels, Eggman has 5.
Knuckles has 5 levels, Rouge has 4.

Both stories also feature one kart racing level.

These stages are so slow. clues are a joke and in spanish language they are very bad translated. I still tolerated them until I got to the Rouge stage with TIME LIMIT and that was the worst! I had to start commiting suicide before the timer run out as this was the only way that prevented the emeralds to reset their positions. I cleared the stage by killing myself many times which actually made it easier (Bad game design).

There are actually 3 clues per emerald piece, so the first clue being very vague is on purpose.

The second and third clues get more detailed to where the last will practically point you to where it is. Once you get the piece then you're able to get three more clues for the next one.

This will destroy your rank though, but thats not a problem on a first run.
