Games like Chao Gardens?
Does anyone know of any good standalone Chao garden like games?

Edit: I guess I should put a example of what I'm looking for, a game called Garden of Mooj that is a half way decent Chao garden clone but would like to find a better one, also preferably available on PC.

Yeah Nintendogs has been the best suggestion so far though I'm hoping to possibly find one just as good but available natively on PC.
tbf emulating nintendogs would be a good shout, I say do that, providing you have a machine better than a toaster you should be able to pull it off

this genre isn't for me I don't feel like researching that. I am not well versed in the genre.

nothing really. The chao garden is fun because of creativity and playing the main stages they work hand and hand
Exactly, most people are forgetting that this game is a platformer before anything else.

again though people arent talking about the main game we're talking about a game that is like the chao garden portion of the game, the rest of it dosent matter, I dont see what part of that is so hard to understand

Hey Grand Captain Speedy Dash (I love mlp!!!) Have you tried the Creatures series? They're older and a bit tough to get to run on Windows 10, but it is doable. It's the best game ever for what you're asking for.

I know this is a late reply but if you haven't heard already there is a fan made game called "Chao Resort Island" for PC and its not like the sonic adventure chao garden but is more similar to the game boy advance version of the chao garden. In my opinion, its so good that it should be made into an official Sonic game if the developers would reach out to sega to try to make something official for the PC. If saga said no it would be very obvious that the owner of the sonic franchise hates chaos.

you can get it here https://chao-resort-island.en.softonic.com/

There is also another fan made sonic game with a chao garden called "Sonic World DX" I havent played it yet but i will be trying it out soon and you can get it here https://sonicworldfangame.com/

The only other sim raising game I liked as much as chao raising in sonic was viva pinata. You can get that on 360 its a very good game, there's also a sequel but I liked the first one best.

Viva Pinata is a pretty good suggestion actually. I played 'Trouble In Paradise'.
It's basically a game about various pinata creatures that you need to find out the proper 'secrets' of. How to get them to show up to your garden, how to get them to stay, how to train them, secret color changes, how to make 'em happy, how to evolve 'em, etc.

I played it on 360 as well. Not sure if it's available anywhere on PC but it vaguely scratches the same itch.

Looks like there is a mobile version as well.

Mobile sounds fun, not sure what the relationship with rare and microsoft is lately but if they can bring out halo to steam not sure why we can't see pinata.

Also wouldn't mind seeing other rare games, banjo, kameo, I even liked perfect dark zero (you could set up bots and sentry weapons and just mow dow tons of AI). It wasn't the best shooter ever but it was still fun especially early in the 360 lifespan.

Another good sim raising game is Jurassic park evolution but it's more graphics than gameplay imo. Its still an allright game but it feels more like an idle game to me once you setup stuff. The progression is extremely slow, I happen to like chao raising more cause it feels like you make progress.

Nights Journey of Dreams has a Chao Garden light.

You can’t do as much in it, but it does have a neat feature where the garden randomly adapts based on what levels you’ve been playing and if you’ve captured any enemies in the stages

Phantasy Star Online has a pet system called MAGs. You feed it certain items and they evolve differently. There's no "garden" where you go to pet them and such but they follow you during combat and they aid you differently depending on how you evolve them. Pretty damn fun and addicting. You can even get a Chao Mag since it's the same developers I believe.

Look up Pogglings, its heavily inspired from the Chaos Garden. It's still in kickstarter but it's gonna be out around next year. Looks great.

Let's hope it turns out as good as it looks.
