How to unlock Chao Garden?

What do I have to do to unlock the Chao Garden part of this game? That's the only reason I bought it. I've never played Chao Garden but have heard a lot of good things about it so wanna try it.

I completed the first sonic stage and now I'm stuck on the "Big Foot" boss fight. I can't get passed it...do I need to get passed this boss?

I've tried googling but can't find a detailed answer anywhere.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Simply break a chao box (the blue boxes, they're hard to miss) during any level, then collect the key that appears and take it to the end of the stage. Once you do, you'll have permanent access to the Chao Garden for that character, available at any time via the stage select.

It works for any stage except bosses. You can go into the level select and pick City Escape again if you need to. Every level has 3 chao boxes, the first one you open will always contain the chao key.

Thank you! I found the boxes and unlocked the garden. :)

If you want to go to the garden with every character. Then you’ll have to to get the Key in the box once with each of them.

That’s why there’s so many blank spaces when you select Chao Garden. It’s for the other characters.

Each stage has its own selection of animals to give to chaos. So having more stages unlocked means you can give more unique animals to chao. Like how City Escape has rabbits. But you won’t find any bats or gorillas

To beat the boss, you jump or jump + dash into the glass where the pilot is
