Mod Manager Help?
So it's been a while since I played SA2. I haven't played with the mods, but I figured I'd start over the game now I have a new desktop and make the game a lot more fun with mods. So I went to download the mod loader and all the mods I want, but when I open it up, it says, Data_DLL.dll could not be found, unable to determine installation.

Then I clicked continue and was able to access the menu. However, when I clicked save and play, an unexpected error pops up. So I thought that if I hit save and launch the game from Steam, my mod would be playable, but I was wrong.

Does anybody know what's wrong and if I can find a loophole around this? I appreciate your time and thank whoever is going to help me in advance.

Edit: Almost forgot to mention my computer runs Windows 10.

Don't you have a Data_DLL.dll file in your Sonic Adventure 2\resource\gd_PC\DLL\Win32 directory? If you don't, you should probably verify the integrity of the game's cache or reinstall the game.

Also be sure you dropped all the files and folders for the mod loader into the Sonic Adventure 2 directory.

I do have Data_DLL.dll in there and I have all the folders for the mod in the same folder as all of my SA2 stuff. I have no idea what's wrong with it.

Probably silly question but, did you click on "Install loader" in the mod loader menu?

I don't see a install loader option in the mod loader menu. I got refresh, open mods folder, new mod, save & play, and save on the mods menu.

That is absolutely not normal, as it should be right next to save. But I guess it's because it can't find your Data_DLL for some reason.

Definitely verify the integrity of the game cache if you haven't already done so. Another possibility is that you might be using another drive than C: or just installed the game in an alternate path and this causes issues?

I have SA2 installed in my E: drive because it has 2TB of storage compared to 100GB on my C:. Maybe that's the problem.

When you install the mod manager, Data_DLL gets renamed to orig and a new Data_DLL file is created to serve as the mod manager's installation file.

I'm having the same issue. I've reinstalled the game AND verified the game cache. Neither helped.
