Help I accidentally hit my chao too many times

I was trying to save my chao from drowning But I got confused with the buttons and ended up hitting it too many times, my chao keeps crying no matter how much food and love that I give him and I'm afraid that It won't reincarnate

The game only saves your Chao Garden data once you leave.
If you make a mistake as bad as that and you really don't want the effects to be permanent, you can press Alt+F4 at the same time to force quit the game without saving the Chao Garden data. That way, you can revert the Chao Garden back to the previous save as if it never happened.
