NEED HELP ASAP, CANT INSTALL GAME

would really appreciate some help as Im very new to PC gaming. When I went to instal the game a window poped up about downloading something, i cant remember what it was tho. I clicked out of thiswindow by mistake and the game stopped installing. Now, whenever I try to start the game, a small window pops up for a second saying preparing to launch game but then nothing happens. I think i needed to download whatever it was that poped up the first time i tried to install the game but im not sure how to get that back. If anyone knows what to do please help, would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance

You must of stopped installing Direct X or something like that

you need Direct X, Open GL or Vulkan to open specific games and Direct X is the most common

uninstall it then try it again if an error pops up write down the code and send it to whatever u use to get help on steam

no error comes up, literally just nothing happens, i tried talking to them but they said they cant help and that i need to talk to the makers of the game. went on their page and there was no where to ask about this game, probably because its so old

Right click the game in the library. and Verify the game.

This should make the popup reappear if you ignored it the first time

i downloaded sonic 4 episode 2 and it came with the same download. SA2 is working now. It was windows NET 3.5. should be able to google it. if not get sonic 4 ep 2
