crash after selecting a level

after selecting the level the game wont do anything for a few seconds and then just close without warning. I already tried verifying game files and its fine until i open the mod loader and do the whole overwrite installed DLLs thing so i think this has something to do with mods since it happened right after i had installed a few so heres the extensive list of every mod i currently have enabled in order top to bottom of the mod loader

chao world extended, enhanced chao world, character select plus, action remap, brightfix, chao data menu, sa2 retranslated, cutscene revamp, fast somersault, fixed sfx volume, HD gui for sa2, menu overhal, no model tinting, rendering fixes, physics swap mod, GBA transporters, idle chatter, city escape bug fix PLUS, sa2 error msg fix, improved waypoints, statpanel++, amy/metal sonic spindash, CWE darky hats, presentable eggman stages, white jungle SETfix, amy eyeliner fix, chao hats, chao party race fair patch, chocolatechipcookie, DCfruits, death chamber original soundtrack, dove small animal mod, dreamcast cutscene textures, fixed black market sound, froggy hat, HD toy models, iron gate light fixing, menu overhaul, misc. dreamcast restoration, real world foods mod, roaxes zelda hats, sound fix for cutscenes, stache fix, warrior feather hat, white jungle fog fix, forces gear, prisonL fog fix, sadx chao acc gems collection, and finally spongebob music over truck chase

any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated

The issue is likely Character Select Plus. This mod should be toward the bottom of your list. Troubleshooting mods can be very difficult and time consuming. Try to remove Character Select Plus and see if that fixes your problem. If it does, try putting it back but in different locations. Mod order is very important on the mod loader. Character Select Plus should be below/after any kind of model edits

If the problem isn't Character Select Plus, then you'll have to start elsewhere... but I'm fairly 100% sure the issue is the placement of this mod

that was my theory as well since it crashed right before it should load so i disabled the mod completely and it still crashes, i even tested having it as the only active mod and it worked so from what i can tell my only choice is to just go down the list activating each mod one by one to see which one causes it

I would start with the Chao mods. I don't think any of the other mods would crash every single level. Like the White Jungle and fog mods would likely only crash those specific levels. I don't use any Chao mods specifically but it's possible they are overriding each other and crashing the game

update: i got my lazy ass up and actually went through the mods, it mustve been an ordering issue because after turning all of them back on and then some it worked
