Can we transfer chao between Adventure 1 & 2?

I recently found and hatched a golden chao in Adventure 1, but I don't generally play in the adventure 1 chao gardens but I do frequent the chao garden in Adventure 2. So I would love to transfer my awesome new Chao to a place where he'd be well cared for and not neglected.

Sadly no. Both games use very different data for the chao gardens that are just flat-out incompatible with each other.

I think it was a wasted opportunity that even the DX version of SA1 couldn't be compatible with SA2B despite adding elements from that game (like the black market)

It's the exact opposite actually. When ported to the GameCube Sonic Team gave SADX the same Chao system as SA2B. You could even transfer them using the GBA. On DC you could with the VMU but it introduced some issues. Anyway on PC you can use this: https://gamebanana.com/tools/6742

yes, you can, but only if you use a chao editing program. You can find one easily at https://chao-island.com/ im pretty sure.

Yes, Chao Island is a very good source for all sorts of chao modding and info. They have a wiki too, if you need anything from that.

There's also this Chao Editor by Krzys2[gamebanana.com] that is more compatible with for Chao mods such as Chao World Extended, and that mod itself along with Enhanced Chao World, adds a plethora of new features and fixes to the Chao Garden of SA2.

Chao Island definitely helped me when I was younger and was trying to breed an All-S Chao and to immortalize it as a Chaos Chao.

Pretty sure you CAN on the PC version, but mods are needed
