OBS TROUBLE PLEASE HELP!!!!

When I try to record using OBS, I only get a black screen, I don't know what's going on because other games don't do that. Some games also have black screens, any help is welcomed!

Heya, don't know if you ever got this fixed, but for yourself & other's that find this thread:
I read elsewhere about older games & someone suggested opening them in separate windows.
So, when the launcher for Sonic appears, unclick Fullscreen so it comes up as a separate window.
Then in OBS, set up a window capture & select the game as your option. It's worked for me! ✌️

UPDATE: For some reason the game in window mode was loading but more importantly playing stupidly quick! I couldn't get used to it, crashing everywhere on City Escape. 😂
So, for those that find the same, simply use display capture on OBS & click Fullscreen on the sonic launcher. It might not be the cleanest feel if you're live streaming but the game plays at a reasonable rate & it does capture display & audio.✌️

Just had this problem. You can fix the speed and still use window capture instead of the full screen. There’s a setting in the SA2 Mod Loader (gamebanana) called restrict framerate. Checking this will fix the speed while still being able to use window capture rather than full screen display capture.
