Doesn't make a save file

Every time I try to select "New game" so I can play the game, it just doesn't do it.. It says "saving.." on the top right, and then it just doesn't do anything and the game will say "File select" again.

I'm not one of the tech-y people here, but, have you tried deleting the save file, thus forcing the game to create a new one?
(It's possible the save file could be corrupted)

It'd be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sonic Adventure 2\resource\gd_PC\SAVEDATA

There should be a file there that says Sonic2B_S01.
Delete that and try the game again.

I'll be honest, I can't remember which one is the gamesave and which is the Chao Garden. But since you're starting a new game, there may be just one.

Did you try Verifying the game's files? (The "Verify Integrity of Game Files" option)

I can't post a picture of my desktop, nor know how to.

But the folder is located at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sonic Adventure 2\resource\gd_PC

As well as 1,336 small files, including: advetiseD.rel, advShareData.prs, adxlogo.prs, and so on.

i try verify game files one last time still no saveddate file can you text one or two things whats suppose to be in the file because maybe i could check if it someone got in one of my other files

i will try make the file also i have deleted everything of it before and reinstalled but no change
