Its only around 10 seconds long. But I think there can be a lot of theories from the name and how they show it.
sorry just really really not a fan of the "lets put sonic in a car." sega keeps trying to make happen.
And it paid off twice with All Stars Racing, and All Stars Racing Transformed. Team Sonic Racing also looks decent, but it being more experimental puts it below the other two as I dont think its team mechanics really paid off.
If this is more like the previous two (and it seems likely to be the same devs as those three), then itll be fine.
(and who knows Cross Worlds could mean it actually does have Riders characters and stages in it, if its a crossover game)
More mysteries on what "cross worlds" means. And the dev might not be the All Stars Racing devs? Its HardLight, so the mobile team?
Its really hard to tell.
Maybe you can drive them? Wouldnt be the first time theyve allowed multiple vehicles like the boats and the planes in Transformed.
The Tokyo stage is fun to play, its BGM is a cool remix of Westopolis, and does have six collectable posters to find that you can view in the Collection Room which shows off some nice renders of the game's model of Movie Shadow...and that's pretty much about it.
There's only 1 Act which is three minutes long and 2 challenges.
I think the DLC is only worth half the price because although it's decent, it's too short for what it offers and you can't even use the Movie Shadow model as a skin outside the DLC stage which is unfortunate. Think of the DLC as just bonus content because that's what it is.
$5 is probably due to Keanu voicing Shadow during it. Probably wasnt cheap to get him involved in the game too.
If this does well, they may consider making more DLC, or they could be busy with the next big new game.
Give a Chris's Mansion stage, Adventures of Robotnik as a driver, Underground music.
(probably just the more recent things if we're realistic since we don't know the full rights situation. So IDW, movie, Prime is what I'd expect. But that Riders board leaves things a little more open)
(realistically, if X does make it in then theyd pick Cosmo as a character, but its funny to tease)
I think it'll just be sonic racing against other sega sammy properties with a lot of DLC, with maybe the possibility of guest characters from other IPs.
or maybe it's a sonic racing game that crosses over with other sonic IP like boom, prime and the movie universe, and maybe having classic versions of the characters. maybe it'll have fang, mighty, ray, bark, bean, and trip or something.
and a final guess would be that it's just a typical sonic racing game like team sonic racing, but the plot involves crossing into different "world" or games, and you'll basically have sonic generations the racing game. instead of being in the current time/world like in sonic team racing with tracks based on prior levels, you'll be traveling to various points in the sonic timeline and racing in a couple stages based on levels from that game. like, maybe travel to sonic 1 and race in green hill, springyard and scrapbrain. then you go to sonic 2 and race in mystic caves, hilltop, and casino night, and so on with various mainline games, with other games as DLC or something. maybe we even get a toxic caves track.
