PS4 controller not working

So I set up my PS4 controller for steam but whenever I try to play SA2B it only confirms keyboard controlls and that's not what I want. Is there a way I can use my PS4 conroller for this game?? I have DS4 Windows but that's not helping either, whenever I try to set controllers for the game, a pop up message says "Catastrophic Failure." I can't skip intro, nothing works when I push a button, I'll set it to gamepad controls but it'll give me keyboard controls.

If that's not it, in Steam, go to Library > right click on Sonic Adventure 2 > Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files... your computer's File Explorer should open up the Sonic Adventure 2 file folder. In there, find the Config folder. In the Config folder, you'll find the Keyboard file. Double click this, or alternately, right click it and select Open With... Notepad (or whatever basic file reader you have).

You'll want to make sure the fourth line says this:

<Player InputWay="1" Vibrate="1">

If it says InputWay="0", that means it's not going to read your controller, but it'll read your keyboard.

Change both numbers to ="1", then press File > Save, and start the game up again
