New laptop doesn't show fire and portal textures. Is it possible to fix it?

Bypassing the Launcher fixes this issue. The easiest way is to navigate to the Sonic Adventure 2 folder (from Steam, go to Library > right click Sonic Adventure 2 > Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files) and rename Launcher to LauncherOld, and sonic2app to Launcher

Still bypass the launcher, but you'll probably need to delete all mod loader files and reinstall them when you're done

All this means is that the "Save and play" button won't work in the manager anymore, but you can still play the game with the mods and everything. Or you could add the line EXEFile=Launcher.exe to one your mods' mod.ini file.

I remember in the old troubleshooting guide that used to be on GameBanana suggested either forcing the game to use "Prefer maximum performance" on your GPU's control panel, or disable some kind of power saving setting on integrated cards.
