Sonic keeps falling of the rails,
Sometimes when I try to switch rails in Final Rush, I just fall off them instead. I play using the keyboard, so I have to press the spacebar and A/D at the same time, which I do. But sometimes I just fall off. Is there anything I might be doing wrong?

You need to balance with A and D I think.

you gotta select an direction you want to go in, then hold the jump button for a bit and it should work. Usually i dont switch rails coz i might die but sometimes i just jump on them instead of switching.

Its pretty precise. As someone who has gotten all A ranks, only switch rails when on a straight line, while holding crouch, and flick a direction and jump. Do not hold a direction for two long, and while regular grinding its faster to hold crouch and not let go while keeping your balance

Rail switches is super precise, this game wasn't made with keyboard in mind so that makes switching harder just try to manually switch rails if this issue persists you can use Sonic's bounce bracelet to increase grinding speed or Shadow's homing attack if you have issues with his rail grinding, also remember to balance while grinding or you'll fall off.

To switch rails at high speeds you need to actually see the character lean fully towards the rail next to them.

While grinding on a curved rail, should I lean inward or outward, depending on the direction in which the rail curves?

Lean away from the direction the character is falling towards. You want to keep it centered while holding crouch the whole time
