Can't get past Load File screen

I was finally able to get the game to work after figuring out that my Anti-Virus program saw it was a threat. However, I can't even continue past the file select screen. I would select "New File", but it's like I never select it at all. It would repeat
I try to search through the local files to see if the game would have a "SAVE" folder, but it didn't come with the download so I don't know what to do...

Does it act as if you didn't hit A/Enter? Or does it flash and glitch back?

It glitches back! Like, it would say file select but it doesnt load!

After your virus protecter saw it as a threat, did it quarantine any files? Sometimes mine, being Norton, has done this to me. Have you checked the integrity of the files and everything?

Yes I have! There aren't any files in quarantine and I did check the integrity of the files. I just don't know what to do anymore haha...

Yes I have! There aren't any files in quarantine and I did check the integrity of the files. I just don't know what to do anymore haha...

Hmm, Well the saved data folder is under "steam/steamapps/common/Sonic Adventure 2/resource/gd_PC" for me. I would try changing the resolution and refresh rate in the games config possibly. Or try playing it not in full screen mode or if you have had it in that, try full screen mode. Also, Try to open the game thru the sonic2app.exe and not the launcher. If anything make sure your stuff is up to date like your graphics drivers or updates that might do something.
