MCAFEE VIRUS FIX

HI GUYS I Found a fix for the issue of mcaffee seeing this game as a virus.

install the game but DO NOT OPEN.

- open Mcafee and select Virus and Spyware Protection
- click realtime scanning
- click excluded files
- click add file
you want to go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sonic Adventure 2 then add sonic2app.exe and sonic launcher.
close mcafee and launch game.

should run fine let me know if any issues occur i will try and help.

I tried uninstalling the game and re-installing the game and when i did it said "download paused"
i dont really know where to go from there but before i uninstalled the game i tried this fix and it said "you dont have permission to run this file contact the file owner or an administrator to obtain permission"

I did keep getting that message I found verifying the game integrity again helped reinstall the file and restore permissions. I also found resetting my system also helped this matter if you want any more help feel free to ask

Better fix, don't use McCaffe.

Doesn't really matter what game it is (from my expereince) it does this to the entire steam library if you aren't careful.

Lilly, it doesn't matter which antivirus you use they all can from time to time throw up false positives for virus' I'm just trying to be more productive and help people solve it knowing how frustrating it can be. I'm sure you can also appreciate the gesture.

Alright so I wasn't the only one. Have you got in contact with McAfee about this too? They told me to send the file to them in a email.
