Game won't start

So, I can boot up the game, but it just says "DirectSound Create Failed", and just crashes. Any help please? I just wanna play this crappy game!

I have the same issue. I saw some say you need a sound card for it to work, but have yet to buy one and see if that is the case.

I just plugged in speakers, and it worked

That sounds to me like your default sound device was disconnected or disabled.
