Gene farming question

Any other reliable way to farm evolved enemies besides the War quests ?
I have been trying to get the taunt ability gene

I am tired boss

Buy maps and do nefia.

IF you want to find pets or need eggs for cooking south east of Mifu theres a huge clump of "forest" tiles which also means you can do a highly efficient farm that can get you statues, eggs, chests, seeds from trees and plants, and possibly evolved enemies similar to nefia but a bit faster because the number of possible spawns.

Thats about it, just keep playing :)

Nefias arent a reliable way to get genes because it is extreemly rare for evolved mobs to spawn in nefias.

Yeah i know
that why i spam war quests to wave 20 and hope that atleast one evolved spawns
but it is kinda tiring tho
Hoping that some galaxy brain player that that knows the ins and outs of the system
that has the knowledge on increasing the odds without mods lol

I still rather do that farm instead of cheating but that is just me

but for now i am just farming war quest because there is some progress to be found
and killing misaki every month for her drop cards so the gene drops easier lol

I don't think there is a proper way to cheat either unfortunately.
you can only spawn Boss and normal variant of mobs not evolved.
And I don't think there are any mods in the workshop that spawn evolved monsters

YK Testing Tool allows you to spawn genes directly from an npc, but this is super cheaty(and possibly broken) and I wouldn't recommend it unless you're actually trying to test something.

I would probably just get panda feature mod

for gene modding followers you would probably have to make some kind of autism butchery site to get a small chance at new genes for literal in game years

I dont think evolved creatures can be caught with a monster ball but that would be my next bet then force feed them industrial quantities of love potions so they produce eggs

so you can farm specifics genes over and over again assuming that capture evolved creatures even spawn their genes

TL;DR the gene system currently needs a skill line and till it does I probably would view the system similar to blacksmithing or alchemy under cooked for now

Atm even tho is is very RNG what gene you get
i'd say so far War request are the only "reliable" place to farm genes every 5 waves a boss spawn that can be a evolved plus the regular mobs you kill can also drop since there are tons
i do 20 waves and sometimes i end up with pretty good golden genes that have spell and body part but yeah it does suck
i'd not recommend killing a a named npc for genes because the droprate is absurdly low from my experience maybe over time it gets better when you get their card but not worth it
because you get stuck in not progressing any stats

True. Also, I remember reading that base NPCs have a low drop rate. If you wanna farm her, you'd have to banish them and find them again at the town for a slightly more reliable farm.
