Block and platform workshops?

Are they useful? Not sure if it is worth spending gold on.

I believe they're mostly for aesthetics.
If you don't want to have platforms or big blocks as part of the decor or architecture around your base, you could probably hold off getting them if you're saving your gold bars.

It's more for aesthetics. You're not missing out on anything important until you want to focus on how your town looks and building vertically.

block workshop is useful its vary good for some easy money you can trun soil you get from mining and trun them into to soil blocks for easy money as it take no enegry to do so

i think the Block Workshop gives you access to Stairs, so you can make a new Basement or Second Flores to your Base, at list in theory from what i understand.

haven't really tested it yet myself, but got the Recipe from a Dream, and it required the Block Workshop to be made.

but having a second Flore where i can put all my Cluttered Mess so the Base can look nicer sound good.

can be used to raise your property value by building multiple layers onto your housing

I feel its easier then finding gold and sculpting IMO
