Note that you could meditate (After stripping down in the changing room) in a hotspring to slow down the progress of the disease.
Note that you can bless antibody potions with blessed water and it will decrease 4 stages of ether disease instead of 2. You can also wish for antibody potions using a well wish if you've picked up a wish from the wish statue during adventuring. You get more potions if you have multiple 'black cat salivas' that you get from finding the same statue after getting a wish.
You could also check the wiki for the static medal locations, there's roughly 50 hidden around all corners of the map in towns and cities.
But ya check your gear, items made out of ether increase the rate you get ether diseases. I'm only getting an ether disease once every ~250 days personally, playing yerle and nefu, with no sources of resistance.
Whaaaat ? Meanwhile I am 220 days in and still no symptom... I am playing Nefu but there is no ether resistance displayed in character creation....
Maybe you did take ether damage ? It apparently increase the count toward symptoms according to wiki
And yeah, Casino's the best bet. Ecopo takes forever to gather and Small Medals are too valuable (you want those artifact weapons more).
