How good is speed?

i got an ether disease that increased my speed by 35 but made me not able to use boots, is that a good trade?

Speed is arguably the best stat in the game and one of the harder stats to increase, so a 35 increase definitely a good trade-off for not being able to wear boots. I don't think you'll find any boots that will get close to that speed increase.

It's essentially your action economy. The higher your speed, the more turns you can take before the enemy gets one.
I'd keep that mutation until you come across some boots that clearly give it a run for its money.

It is the best statt in the game. losing boots is a fair price for such a increase. especially since there are very little other ways of increasing speed

Losing boots slot means no Seven league boots though. Thoses are arguably the best gear to not waste weeks traveling around.

But yeah, speed is good, especially as it scale with Lone soul feat. I am happily trading my waist slot as a Nefu for the +25 speed bonus
