How to give farmer a watercan?

I noticed that he doesn't water the crops. Is there any way I can give him a watercan or just not worry about it?

Farmers won't do stuff like water crops for you. They only harvest and replant (assuming you have delegated farming turn;ed on even).

Farmers don't "do" anything, period. They passively buff the soil "skill" of the tile, so you can grow more crops, otherwise they hang out by the farming signs and pretend to do stuff. The "delegated farming" policy will auto harvest and replant crops for you, but is unrelated to farming jobs. No NPC actually harvests or replants anything on your tile.
