Soil Home Skill

How do you level up the soil home skill? So far it has not gone up automatically and it cant be upgraded using gold bars. Is something like manual farming required?

Just looked at mine and it is not. Is this based on a specific hearthstone lvl maybe?

You have to purchase the skill-book for it from a Scholar in one of the big towns. Off top of my head, I think it's the northern one? Just pass by the scholars and check their stock when you go through.

Once you have the book, use it back in your base and it will unlock the skill.

Pretty much. Once you get the book, you'll get the option to throw gold bars at it to upgrade it. Prior to that, you can 'see' the skill, but can't upgrade it.
