Elin
Some Questions
So, I've been playing for a little bit now, and have amassed some questions along the way:

Are precious items not like Elona's Special/unique artifacts?
I see on the wiki that Miral & Garokk restock some items, and I'd really like to have more than 1 Ribbon, for example. Can I buy another and not either lose it or the one I already have? Putit in Amber is probably my best ranged weapon, and I would absolutely be out looking for more if I knew I could potentially get more.

One of my favorite things in Elona+ was pet evolution. Clearly this is not in Elin (yet?).
I know + came out after the original dev left the project, but is there any sign this will be eventually added to Elin?

In Elona, you could eat certain monsters to gain innate resistance, like Kobolds for poison resist, or Floating Eyes for Nerve resist. The most you could get like this wasn't much, but something is better than nothing. This doesn't seem to be a thing in Elin (yet?), I guess?

I'm pretty sure my allies eat 2 to 3 times more often than I become "Hungry". Why is this?
(For reference, I'm playing a Eulderna Warmage.) Since food is both directly related to stat gain and player survival, I keep debating whether or not it's a good thing I can go longer without needing food.

When buying food in shops, many times I see an item that, at the bottom of the trait list, says "(x other traits)", like (5 other traits). How can I see what those other traits are?
Originally, I thought the Gourmet feat would let me see these hidden (to me) traits, but having gotten it now, obviously, those are not the hidden traits the feat covers.

What use is there for duplicate Skill Manuals? How is a Skill Manual affected by being Blessed or Cursed?

Insanity "Reputation"?
I think it only goes up when you are seen, while insane, by non-party-members? What is affected by this reputation type? Is there a way to reduce it?

I have yet to afford a Gene Machine, but some of the genes I find have <<teal>> traits, which I think are bonus feats, and I picked up one with a <<red>> trait. Normally red things are negatives, but this one said Magic Touch, and the monster I got it off of used that spell, so does that mean that ability comes with this gene?

While my Appraisal was in the upper 18's, I started holding onto stuff that got labeled (Good), but after hitting 20, those items never get fully appraised?
This issue is mostly over for my current game, but inside the locked chests I lugged home, I've somehow appraised the contents (through the keyhole, I guess), which means I surely still have some of these (Good) items lying around.

Do Mailboxes and/or Shipping Chests work from inside a tent?
I suppose I should have tried this before asking.

Any answers or explanations would be appreciated.

I don't know about M+G's items (I'm pretty sure the ones that aren't replicas won't be restocked, but don't quote me on that), but you absolutely can get multiple Putits in Amber. Their drop rate is much higher from withered trees than from other trees.

It isn't.

The default hotkey to show the entire tooltip of an item is X. It must be held.
The hidden traits that Gourmet shows you are the ones that are light blue.

You can read them yourself for skill experience, or you can gift them (I think it has to be gift, not just trading) to one of your residents and they'll read it to gain the skill, which can be very useful depending on what it is.

Yes.

Probably has to do with the difference in nutrition value of the food you eat vs. what your allies eat as compared to the max nutrition value (hunger cap) they can consume per day before becoming full.

There are some NPC only races that can get feats which will increase their hunger cap.

Not sure I 100% understand every nuance of system just yet, but from what I've read here and there since I started playing, here's how I think it works.

If you have no issues supplying yourself with food, then it can be a negative impact because of how eating works assuming that "go longer without needing food" means their "hunger cap" is decreased (lower than normal).

For example, if a normal hunger cap is 100 and yours is 80, that means that you can only get experience from food up to 80 nutrition a day instead of 100. Since the player's ability to obtain experience from food is based on the nutrition value, consuming less nutrition per day results in less attribute/potential experience per day. In this case (with the numbers I made up for example purposes), that'd be roughly 20% less attribute/potential experience.

Not 100% sure I'm following. Are you saying that the items labeled (Good) that were in your inventory before getting Appraisal 20 did not get identified after you hit Appraisal 20?

Yes, the items I had in my inventory which had been appraised to being (Good), did not get fully identified after reaching Appraisal 20. If I remember correctly, I went and cleared a couple of Nefia, but they stayed (Good) instead of getting fully ID'd. Maybe I just didn't wait long enough?

For the food thing, I'm mostly able to keep myself and my party supplied, but I sometimes I look into my shared Cooler Box and discover it's down to just a couple of raw ingredients, and have to quickly go scavenge up some new meals before I either starve or my ravenous Little Girl and Younger Sister become unable to heal themselves.

Thanks for the various answers and explanations.

Ah. Speaking of, where would I look to find out what my hunger cap actually is?

Yeah, I'd say if you've gone 7 in game days and it hasn't been identified, just go ahead and have a mage do it (pretty cheap anyway).

Not sure, haven't managed to see any elaborate details where I've checked on the wiki or on Steam.

Though perhaps it's one of the things that gets displayed in one of the many mods out there.
